In 2021 I heard that Chester cathedral wanted to borrow St Albans Cathedral's 9-foot print of A Last Supper for their exhibition Global Images of Christ. I also offered to loan them my original painting Kiss of Betrayal, a 6-foot icon painting depicting the moment Judas betrays Jesus with a kiss in cinematic close up, which is still installed there on a long-term loan for the next 5 years.

I created Blue Christ so the exhibition included an image of mine which had never been previously seen. I used my treasured stock of chemically identical Yves Klein Blue paint, made for me by a paint genius after years of wheedling. The model is the same as that of my earlier Pink Christ and Kiss of Betrayal, fashion model and musician Jamel Gordon Lynch.

"This project began with my desire to make my work accessible to my friends and followers. I tend to work mostly on big commissions and large projects. It’s great to produce small scale, fun work about where I’ve been and my influences, and rediscover older work again.

I want to make collecting art accessible and open to everyone. As a northern girl nothing delights me more than a bargain, so every so often I release a collection of works, for a limited period, at a very sweet price point.
