Jasper Conran's Tulips (Print)
Giclee print edition of 100 on archival Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper
40 x 38 cm (15.7 x 15 inches)
For me, the cotton wool days of Lockdown were lifted by social media. When my life felt so small, the portals into others' days and surroundings felt like a relief from the monotony of my own. Especially the glimpses into homes and gardens of aesthetes like Jasper Conran. His posts of the flowers he'd plucked from his garden and arranged in bright ceramic vases lifted my soul and seemed like little pieces of perfection in a dark and scary world.
And so, when fresh flowers in my third floor flat were far away, I painted his. His shelves became my shelves, bursting with his exquisitely arranged blooms.
